Feeding video, yummy sunfish

From yesterday, gave him about 2 chunks of 1" cube size sunfish, one at a time. He actually finished both of them but I didn't get the record the second one. anyway, enjoy

NIce, Are those convicts in the back? Feeders? I wish i could get a pirahna but there illegal out here.

thanks and yes, those are convicts. was going to use them as feeders but they are too fast and I have too many hiding places so they are just there now to add some movement in the tank now. if the rhom eat some that's cool since I have so many in there.

you can tell who is at the top of the food chain in the tank. When he shakes his head the reaction from the convicts is priceless.

oh yes, he's king of the tank in there. those convicts just helps clean up his left over and give him something to chase about.

took him one night to settle down I was very impressed
i started with 4 convits then boom, 100+ now. lol

yeah my rhom is starting to eat a little now i stuck one gold fish in 10 convicts and a fresh big piece of shrimp(raw of course) woke up shrimp is pretty much gone gold fish is pretty much gone and i got 6 convicts left but he still hides alot....... but he comes out now and then when i sit there and wait for him to come out lol........
you must got the right pair of convicts lol

give em time. takes serras a while to open up, but when they do they're all the way open. If you feed shrimp try and feed in bite size pieces and drop them down to the fish to catch. When i started doing that, my P started associating me with food. I also put in an actinic bulb to simulate deep water, and started leaving it off most of the time. That seemed to do the trick. You can try real/fake floating plants too.
