feeding w/ catfish nuggets

so i fed my fish some catfish nuggets.. and a few days later.. water got cloudy and i noticed this white slime stuff growing on the rim of the tank on the tops. what the crap happend? so now ive cleaned it all up.. and hopin the cloudiness will go away... anyone have any similar problems? whats wrong? what happened? gettin me kinda nervous. fish seem to be actin fine though.

What are these catfish nuggets? Pics? Did you overfeed? How long did you let the fish consume their food?

all food was eaten.. i fed piece by piece.. bought at the supermarket, like filets of catfish cut into nuggets. i washed them off the best i could since they are really greasy. and then i cut them to smaller piece and feed fish piece by piece.

Must be the oil that makes the food greasy and food particles that can cloud the water even after you wash the fillets several times. It cannot be prevented but plenty of water changes will usually rectify the problem. I don't see how it will harm the fish provided you feed them those only sparingly, perhaps once a week.
