There will be about 5 weeks when me and my family will be on a trip, I have some one who is willing to feed my fish, but I need to work out specifics. I have a:

55g with 3 axolotls (they only need to feed 3 times a week)

30g with a small community of brichardi and a mbuna (I will get rid of the mbuna)

20g with 3 small convicts and 2 smallish firemouths (and a bunch of dither fish)

10g with 4 very small kribensis

Will the fish be ok with feedings of 3 times a week? I was planning on giving the 30 and 20 a bloodworm cube each. Should I also give them the weekend food things that dissolve?

Any advise would be welcome.

They are plaster blocks with bits of food. As the plaster dissolves, the the bits of food are released, but the plaster is still there in your water. That is bad. ;)

Tetra has some new gel feeders that are binder with agar agar (some folks use it to make frozen fish food, since it eliminates the temperature problems with gelatin). I have never tried it but if you must use a vacation block, I think this would be much better that a plaster block.

Just go with the feeding every three days. Your fish will be fine.
