Has anyone got any tips on getting him to eat with the lights on (2" Rhom), or is this just something that will happen over time?
Also has anyone tried feeding Coley steaks? Is this ok?

Red meet ant the best but you feed far and few between its cool to wach them eat it . Is far for the lights you proly need to force the issue .

Whats the best way to force it?

coley steaks arent red meat though, its a type of white fish fillet steak, im just checking that coley is ok to feed

i've noticed that if i try to feed my p's first thing in the morning, having just turned the lights on, it's like they can't see the pellets and just let it sink.

if the lights have been on for a while they eat a lot more.

try leaving the lights on for like a half hour and then feeding.

So dont try to feed as soon as you turn the lights on. ok
Thing is, im not having much luck with anything at the moment, ive had him 5 days now and hes ate 5 neons, hes only got 1 more left and then he wont have a choice he will have to eat the food i give him. as soon as i turn the lights off at night he goes into predator mode and starts stalking his meal (proper). Its funny to watch at his size, hes like the midget killer.
in the 5 days ive had him he's only actually had about 4 bites of coley, and about 6 flakes of food i have given him, the rest is all live. He has visably grown in those 5 days, so he is doing well.

I had a rhomb that will eat with light on and finger chase with light on. The trick is keep light on 8-10hrs a day and feed him only with light on. Stay in front of him when feeding time, keep doing it untill he eat. he will get use to it.

your gonna have to be as patient as possible with a rhom that size... from what ive seen its more normal for one to not eat with the lights on than it is with lights on... hes eating tho for you so thats a great start--- all you can do is offer him food with lights on only, if he doesnt eat it... take it out- he'll figure it out sooner or later-

Thats what I mean .

Great help everyone. shouldn't have any problems now.
Well all the neons are gone, hes had 1 a day, every morning i come down to a floating neon head. I find it quite impressive for his size and age to be able to kill the way he does, bearing in mind that he is only 1/2 inch bigger than a neon...lol
So now hes got no choice but to eat the food i give him, and hes only gettin it with the lights on
