I've been catching worms and would like to feed them to my fish. I heard there's a way to clean out their intestines before feeding them, is anybody aware of the details? My friends dad said something about cold water, but I didn't notice that doing anything.

If you caught them in clean soil, meaning no pesticides, oil, etc. Then I would just throw them in the tank and lets eat. If your worried about it, you can just squeeze them from one end to the other, or put them in some top soil and feed them for a week or so, then what ever is inside, you can be sure is safe.

I feed night crawlers to my red tail Catfish both my channel catfish and a bullheadcatfish. Hell even my crayfish eats them lol

X2, this seems to be the most commonly used practice...
