Feeding your Arowana MP's

I just got some shrimps (prawns are just big shrimps) from the seafood market I want to start feeding my aro. I just got some from the store - white shrimps with head on. I am going to freeze them for 48 hours to kill any bacteria. Then remove the head, shell, de-vein, and then feed it raw. Is it then safe to feed to the Aro? Thanks for any info.

yes. i feed my aro market shrimp from my grocery store. make sure you take the head off

I don't see why not. I've heard of a few who feed shrimp to their tropicals. I just have to ask you: "Isn't fresh prawn expensive? How much are they per pound? Can't you just buy frozen, peeled and de-veined shrimp from the grocery store and thaw them out?" That would save you time and money.

salt.. they are cheaper ($8-$11 per pound frozen no head/tail on).. perfectly safe
