Feeding Your Cichlids

Has anyone ever fed strictly natural foods to their cichlids? I've decided not to my fish prepared food anymore (i.e. No more pellets or freeze dried). Only frozen or fresh items from the market. In addition, I've been adding more natural light in the fish room so that I can attempt to mimic their natural habitat. What have your results been like if you've tried this? I'm interested to know.

Never tried this. I can see why you would try it. If you can get enough variety in their diet it will probably work well.
I would say it may get expensive unless you can gather your own live feed.
I try to feed as much variety and live foods as possible. But I do use a couple different pellets as a staple.
