some where over the rainbow
cant seem to get my ray to eat... tryed frozen blood worms, she suckes em in her mouth chews on em then spits them out... did the same with a nightcrawler today. in the tank there are 3 small oscars ( all under 3.5 in ) 1 clown knife 2 pacu's 1 shovelnose cat, aro and a gar, could any of these fish be a problem and stressing out the ray? they dont seem to bother it, just raised temp from 76 to 80 tonight, LFS told me to keep it lower to make the oscars not pick on the ray.... any sugustions or is my combo bad? in a bare tank could that be the prob? or just a bad fish?

Im no expert but might want to try to quarentine the ray until it starts eating...how long has it been since it ate last?

I lost a cpl leos cause they wouldnt eat, the problem was my motoros were freaking them out.

try black worms. no ray can resist them. and oscars arent the best tank mates. the pacus if small are ok but when pig over a couple feet will prob be a problem unless you got like a 600gallon. try blackworms tho

pacus are not big, dont have any other rays in with it, and i have had her sicne last wensday. got her to eat a little last night and the night befor she a 1/4 of a nightcrawler

i just hope you got a huge tank to house all those fish you got. cause they are still babys

that was the point of buying them.... just an excuse to get biger and biger tanks, dont want to keep the pacus though , they get way to big, and i think they are kinda ugly

for pacus to even act somewhat normal they need at least 600gallons.

i got them for free... and the guy that had them befor must of had them in a 20 gal tank though. the pet store told me, he said that he had them for 3-4 years... would think a fish that gets that big would grow more then 6 inches in 3-4 years ( assuming that you get them at about a in or so... thats the only size ive seen them for sale at)
