How we doing??!!

Hello all mfk members,
since owning my jar I have been wanting to and trying to get him to eat hikari pellets!! I have tried pushing them into prawns (with minimal success one prawn eaten then catches on lol) leaving them to soak in blood worms as he enjoys them thoroughly!!

Within the last month he has been munching through store bought earthworms but these sink as many of you will know!! And my female montoro is more than happy to eat his worms and her massivore pellets lol!!

I would greatly appreciate any tips and previous experiences that you all have gone through many thanks

Starve him for a week.......Then drop in dozen pellets.........Always works.........GHood Luck...........

FYI: Make Krill a daily staple for him........Kril;l brings out the color/shine in arrows.......

If your aro is smaller than around 10" Idon't reccomend starving the fish for a week or more. The aro is still young and you risk the aro staving to death from not having built up enough body fat.
Bigger aros can be staved for a week or more, although I don't believe in the practise.
I have found the hikari aro sticks to be the best of all the pellets to get an aro onto pellets. The method I use is wait about 2- 3 days from their last meal and introduce a few pellets. If the fish takes them in then spits them out, your half way. A few more days of this is usually enough for them to start taking the pellets. Keep them staright pellets for about two weeks, so they memorize the taste of the food and then feed them as ypu like afterwoods. I have always found that even not feeding the aro pellets for 6 months then introduce the same type of pellet as before, they will eat it.

He's only around 8 inches so wasn't gonna starve him
the whole week but he has in the past just spat the pellets out as u put earlier.
So once he has done that I just have to keep dropping them in then??!!

Thanks for all the great advice will post how it's going
