My bichirs are very small probably around the 2-2.5inch mark and i was wondering what kind of sinking pellets i could feed them, currently i feed them bloodworms/brineshrimp/ and very small chopped pieces of silversides, but i can't seem to find any type of sinking pellet in my 4 LFS's to feed them. was wondering if you guys had any ideas?

very cool what about sinking carnivore pellets would those work? i don't know if my LFS carries that kind of hikari

I feed my little guy the Carnivore, just make sure you cut them in half....although mine tries to prove that invalid and eats 2 halves at once......

Edit: Last night when I fed the big fish in the tank first (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11147293&lmdn=Brand) he started picking the off the top left and right since he stays in the tall plant I've got up here. Little bugger still had 3 round "bulges" on him this morning from eating so many =D

HBH SuperSoft krill formula. The pellets are 3mm, but like the name says, they're soft and they seem to like mashing them up. nom, nom, nom

Pellets for Bichirs IMO you can't beat Hikari.

For smaller Bichirs Hikari "carnivore", for larger "Massivore".

They are a little more expensive than other brands, but well worth the extra money.

*A little extra info, the company Kyorin" that make Hikari foods, are a branch company of Kamihata, a fish industry that are leaders in breeding Bichirs.
They are the first and only people in the world to breed rare Bichirs such as Ansorgii and Bichir Bichir.

So I think it is pretty safe to bet they know how to make a good pellet!

Nice, a pellet made specially for bichirs!
