Friends. One way is to have the food prepared in advance in individual zip lock bags in the freezer. Day 1 is ready in the fridge. When they feed day 1, have em take one bag out of the freezer and place in fridge so its ready for day 2 ( or every other day). Don't expect (or trust) friends to prep the food...bad things can happen. Have them make sure the air pump and filters are running each day also. Enjoy your vacation.

I do almost exactly what Scott S said. Except I use ice cube trays for shrimp and pill containers and measuring scoops for my fish that eat flake
