Feeding

I've got a six inch Retic that will eat 3-4 trout worms at a time, twice a day. I was staying on a schedule whether she was looking for food or not. Now, I've started feeding only when I see her actively hunting. She's got a nice thick tail, so she's definitely not underfed.

i feed half-3/4 of a tilapia filet to my 2 retics almost every day. they're definitely not lacking food. if they're getting j-lo booties and their tails are thick, all should be well. just remember to pull out any remainder that they don't eat to prevent ammonia spikes.

what you're feeding (3-4 trout worms a feeding) sounds about right. mine ate roughly the same amount each at that size. keep up the good work.

I feel better about her feeding regimen, then. Her tail is thick and her rear end is nice and wide so she must be doing pretty good.

Here's a pic of my retic right after I turned the lights on. She still has some sand on her from being buried.
