During a water change today one of my little severums got frisky and became tangled up with the gravel vac. He's scarred up pretty bad on both sides...looks like a bruise with missing scales. He's acting fine, just looks bad. Should I do anything special to help him heal?

Water changes should be sufficient enough. It'll take time for those wounds to heal though.

Thanks! I feel bad for the little guy. He was hiding in a cave I made them out of slate pieces and I had no idea. I thought he moved with the others.

bl he will be fine tho

For the future, we use a very porous sponge on the tip of our gravel vacuum. Too many curious clown loaches, eels, etc. in our tank. We took a a sponge and just made a slit in it and stuffed the end it. Seems to stay on just fine for when were not actually vacuuming
