Seeing all the fantastic and big tanks on here has got me down, for I don't have any tanks let alone a biggie. Also, as I look at others tanks with envy I can't help notice how most great tanks are from the US, so I keep thinking to myself, I would definitely consider moving over to America, and not just for fish either, im stuck in a low paying dead end job that I just can't escape and everything is so expensive, I see people in America owning 4 bed houses for the same price as a tiny 2 bed over here. If I could secure a job over there is be gone in a heartbeat.

The grass is always greener.......I think you the rest and not everyone here owns their own home,let alone a four bedroom home.Find the best paying job that you can and save save save.
dont get your self down over it, last year i looked at moving to central america, (not for the fish ) but after i sat down and thought about yeh everything is a bit more pricie over here and its harder to find the stuff you need but it makes us unique hahaha
i dont own my own home yet (next year i hope to take that leap) but in terms of tanks well start with something you can handle forget the auction sites check out gumtree there is always bargains on there, i have had some nice 30G for free of there in the past. once you got the tank you on your way. I stopped paying the big money for stuff and just sit and wait for stuff to come in my range. for equipment if you wont new got to allpondsolutions there largest internals ( im currently running 5) cost £20 or make your own using air pumps again check out gumtree.
oh and snakeheads dont need heater and dont need massive tanks and we can have them over here

no offence my friend but you do not have a clue. work your job and go back to school. its a long life but it does keep getting shorter. put the work in, get a higher education, and make your self valuable. aint nobody going to give you anything just because you want it. not there, not here. educate your self while young. make your self valuable.
