Fei Feng aggression?

I've heard that these guys are best kept singly because 2+ will fight generally. Does that go for other silver/similar looking fish too? I've got a pinktail chalceus and I'd like to add some bala sharks...will the flagtail be aggressive with them?

Edit: I haven't got the flagtail yet, just looking for input before I get one.

Yeah they do tend to kill each other unless you have a load of them and a HUGE tank, they are best singlary anyways....

Best by themselves and known slime coat eaters. Unsure about the pinktail you mention...

I dont' think they're usually aggressive to fish other than conspecifics. I wouldn't risk them with rays probably, but I do have one in with a few bichirs. I haven't seen any aggression towards anything.

I've got 6 Fei's in a 300 gallon tank (8'x2'x30") and they don't mind each other at all.. They range from 4" up to 6" in size.

Thanks guys. No rays here, tank's too small so I should be OK. I'll just get one, but good to hear that I can have it with the other fish without issue.
