i have a 5in fei feng that ive had for about 4 to 5 months now. got him when he was 1.5 to 2 inches and hes grow a good amount to the point where i put him in the 135 gal. when i first got him and put him in the 60 gal grow out he was eating algae wafers, flakes, cucumber, watermelon... pretty much any veggie i threw in he would spend the day sucking on. now that hes 5in and has been in the 135 for about a week the only thing he wants to eat are flakes. i've put in the usual cucumber, melon, algae wafers and he didn't even approach the veggies but when i put flakes in he goes all out. im not too worried because hes still eating something but id rather give him some other food that would be more filling. is there any veggie that no fei feng cant resist? or would soaking the veggies in garlic guard entice his appetite? any info would be of great help. thanks for reading!

ok well after feeding today he nibbles on massivore as well as cichlid staple, but id rather him be eating veggies and algae wafers

i had a fei feng with the same issue...would only eat flakes & color bits. nowadays, i introduced a bigger light brown colored pellet used to make tilapia in fish farms grow big in just a few weeks.
have u tried tetra sticks or color sticks....NOT jumbo min type....
my taeniurus adores, devours these tetra sticks & the fish farm pellet
the pellet im sure u can find in the right store. not aquarium LFS, rather farming/pisciculture stores
otherwise, try the starving & garlic aid method
