fei feng help

ok so lately my fei feng (flagtail) is being a little punk and sucking on my retro bichir. it seems like hes scared to try to suck on my arowana or gar. when he is close to my retro once in a while he will suck on his back. i caught him in the act todayy and took him out with my net and held him out of water for about 2 min. and put him back in. i have done this once before, im starting to get worried. should i get rid of him, is he gonna keep acting up? i have 2 other bichirs and he doesnt suck on them only on my retro bichir.
 
I don't see what holding your Fei Feng out of the water would accomplish, apart from unnecessary stress. More then likely your Fei Feng is thinking the patterns on your retropinnis look edible, so it's trying them out. The behavior won't stop unless you either seperate them or remove one.
 
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:I've noticed that if you take the fish out of the water and give it a nice thud against a counter top or something of that nature, they usually stop doing what they were doing before... it takes care of any problems, rapid breathing, swimming, heartbeat, excessive eating/pooping/bullying/sucking on a fish that looks like a shaft... and so on and so forth... :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Sorry couldn't resist! I had the same issue with mine sucking on my fire eel, which ended up having velvet...a fungal/bacterial infection... I bet that your fish is sick with something... but chances are your going to need to get rid of your ***tail, b/c if you get rid of the other fish the Flag is just gonna suck on something else:D
 
hahahaha lol, yeah i put him in time out but no thumping on the counter top. thats the next step :). hahahah thats funny i call them f@g tail too, did your fire eel have that infection or the f@gtail? imma keep him for a little longer and see if he keeps doing it. i dont wanna get rid of him hes a cool fish
 
so i took out my sand yesterday and my fei feng got a little messed up on his side. looks like maybe someone attacked him or something but his scales are a little messed up. do they heal quickly?
