feisty mayan, male or female? YOU decide

ive always assumed my mayan was a male cause its so unbelievably aggresive and has to be kept alone.
beautifully coloured when no1 is around or is still for ages but as soon as people go near she bars up and looses alot of colour.

so today after i fed the mayan i noticed its genital papilæ were hanging down slightly, and im no expert but im usualy correct.
the pictures arent quiete good cause she wont ever stand still as it tries to kill you through the glass.

heres the papilæ

a closer look and i saw it was fleshy pink coloured and wide.
my guess is it wouldnt be able to firtilise eggs with that!

thats what i thought, the pictures dont show it so well cause it looks pointed but its round and bluntthis fish confuses me

Looking at the first picture I'd say female.

see i always thought it was male, but all the male cichlids ive ever owned had thin ones to fertilise eggs, but this one is thick, theres no way it could fit in an egg. and as far as the internet has shown me mayans have very little sexual dimophism
