So I've fallen head over heals for dats, I think they're incredible...will small dats (3-4 inches) go okay in a 90 with a silver aro (5ish inches) an ornate bichir (also 5 inches) and a royal pleco (4 inches ish)...They'd only be in the 90 until may, at which point they're moving into a 300 gallon tank

I don't see you having problems with that mix...that's a pretty popular community.

The aro will outgrow those dats pretty quick, so just keep an eye on him. Some people don't have any problems with aros being much larger than their dats, but then again some people do.

I actually had a silver aro eat one of my thinbars a while ago. He's never even showed interest after that, maybe it was a freak incident, but it still cost me a nice NTT.

the aro and possibly bichir (never cared much about ornates so i dont know about their growth rate) will def. outgrow the dat.

and the plec might suck the slime coat off the ornate, theyre known to do that

should be fine, just watch the plec doesn't get a taste for slime coat and that the silver aro doesn't outgrow the dat. ornates are pretty slow growers. once they are all full size, there should be no problem.
