Hallo guys, let me present myself. My name is Léo and I'm from Brazil. Very pleased to start being a part of this forum. Up until now I've been a saltwater aquarium guy until the opportunity came for me to have a South American Lung Fish (or as we call it Pirambóia, since it's a local fish). But I have no experience in keeping monster fishes. Mine is now 80 cm long (I think about 31,5 inches). I'd like to know please if any of you guys have experience keeping this fish. I don't mean feeding because I was able to train her (I believe it's a female) to eat bottom fish food. But I want to keep other fish with her. I thought about Pantodon (the African butterfly fish) but it's maximum growth of approximately 5 inches (she is going to inhale it). Perhaps Bichirs but it can happen the same thing if it is too small or the bichir can bite her fins since its more agitated. I would appreciate any help.
