So, as you know, I have a sax type pike whom I love dearly. I recently picked up a 75g that I will be upgrading some fish to, and I was pondering what to do with my 55g. I decided against selling it and thought about using it to breed my baby boy. Now this is where my fellow members come in and give me advice. Is a 55g big enough to breed a pair of sax's in? Now here is my BIG problem, I can't even I.d. This creni never mind find it a mate of the same species. Should I just settle for another nice female sax and call it a day, or is that unethical? I know a lot of people disagree with hybridizing, and I KNOW people will probably hate this idea even more. Help me friends!

Don't breed it with another different type of Sax., you know better than that. There are enough hybrids in this hobby as it is.

Just find a different species of Sax. and get a group of them. Grow them up, remove the nonpairs, and breed away! :D Problem solved! :) Breeding pair of sveni would be hott actually!

:iagree:

It's hard enough to get them to breed with their own species. I wouldn't do it.

Wow could you imagine how hard that would make it to ID saxatilis if peole were able to cross breed them

jer find me a pair of nice sax, or small retics!!! you just always seem to know who has what. i havent bought a creni in a while, and i would appreciate help and some opinions.

How come I always seem to get stuck with the foot work for people? :p

I'll look around, see what can be scrounged up. :) Found a new whole saler who might be able to get in some nice fish. :)
