Just doing some research, is it normal to keep these fishe without substrate. Beautiful fish btw
people either do glass bottom or they do full on planted tanks

Beautiful discus but i agree with others barebottom tanks look boring to me as well
So an update on some of my fish. Unfortunately one of my Blue Diamonds decided to off himself by hitting one of my HOB filters, HARD. Something must have spooked him pretty good in order for him to do it. Here's a pic of him.
I've sold my two Leopard Snakeskins and alenquer because they were some of my lower quality and wanted to make room in my tank in order to get these two.

Here's a pic of the Red Turq who's feeling much better now that the bully Leopard SS is gone. He's alot less stressed.
Here's what he looked like almost 2yrs ago. He was only 3" when I bought him. He's pushing 6 1/2" now.
