I recently purchased a female betta a few days go, and she is in a 10g tank. The first day I got her, she ate brine shrimp, but now, she won't take brine shrimp, or betta pellets either. She just ignores them. I also will try bloodworms, but I don't know if she'll take them. My male betta eats just fine, he'll eat anything I throw in the tank. Any advice?

Maby she is Stressing. She might not be used to her surroundings. Don't feed her,for about two days, then she if she is not eating. She also may Not like to Eat while you are around. She might be shy.

do you have the male in with her..she could be very stressed because of him..do you have a hiding place for her to go to...sometimes too she may be filled with eggs.. and having a hard time releasing them..

No way, definetly not with the male yet.

Bettas do not have to be fed everyday they can go days without eating. She's probably stressed so ive it time and feed it whatever you LFS was feeding it.

adult bettas can go weeks without eating... actually, that is supposed to help them.

I sure hope you aren't keeping her with a male ;either she tears him up or she gets torn up by him. I would wait but i think she might be sick as both my 2 female bettas eat consistently in there 10 gallon. They don't seem to have very good eyesight except peripheral so try to make sure you get it close to her.
