I been breeding many different types of fish in the past and I had a question on my female bonsai flowerhorn. She was spawning with a male and they had two batches of eggs in which the female eat the eggs. The first batch only 5 percent had fungus and two days later she ate the eggs. Happened again two weeks later with the same outcome. I initially didn't want her with that male so I added a thai silk cichlid male. I wanted to know will they pair off eventually? They got aggressive but now they're fine. He is 4 inches and she is about 2-3.5 inches so a good size couple. She did lose her breeding dress when I added the male but now she has it back on. It will take 2 weeks for her to drop her eggs again but I'm thinking she might not do it due to this male.
cliff notes:
What do you guys think she just bred twice back to back with a male and now added a new male will she breed with him the next round or soon after?
