Not ALL female bristlenose plecos have bristles, right? I know that the females might have a row of them only, but are there some species of female bristlenoses that don't have any bristles at all?

Just curious because I was given a fish that the owner described to me only as a "dwarf" pleco. I think it looks like a Ancistrus cirrhosus, but I'm not sure as it also looks kinda like a common pleco.

I have seen the dwarf females w/very small bristles. My male's are pretty small, but there is a def. difference.

finally took some pictures of it. is this a female ancistrus or just a common pleco?
