I have a 55 that my female dempsey and GT were sharing I gave the GT to my nephew and bought a EBJD and put it in the tank which they chase each other pretty well but no nipping she is definatly the boss of the tank but when I shut the light off they seem to rub against each and seem very close is this normal? They r both about 2.5-3" are they too young to be a pair? And r there any dithers that would be good for them?

It's hard to say, it isn't impossible for them to pair off that small. Just keep an eye on them. If they are male and female and she's wanting to spawn and he's not... that could result in your EBJD getting killed.

Replaced gravel with sand and man what a difference tank looks so much cooler and since fish were re introduced together aggression so far has decreased greatly
