I've heard that there are fewer ebjd females out there than there are males. Just wondering how many members have females and would like to diplay them? Also are they more "wanted" than a male to someone wanting to breed and sell ebjd's?

I read somewhere that 99% of EBJDs are male. Hopefully someone here has one.

Yeah I hope they will show theirs too. I got my first ebjd about a month and a half ago. Its about 2-2.5" and its fins are rounded(check my threads). If I do in fact have a female, it would be hard as hell to believe I'm the only mfk member with one... But then again I could be the one to own that 1%! Lol

from what i've heard they are not good for breeding for several reasons. since ebjd's are usually less agresive, it is better to have a larger male with a bgjd female, otherwise you have a larger more aggresive bgjd male that might kill your ebjd female. also i've read that they do not produce strong or viable offspring like a female bgjd would

I was waiting for someone else to comment. But as far as aggression... This one that I have is the most aggressive I have ever seen. Although its my first ebjd, I have owned plenty of regular jd and they have been the most passive in my tanks. This ebjd(with rounded fins) is ridiculously aggressive with fish its size and smaller. So I think she(or maybe he) would be ok for a bgjd. As far as viable fry... If I'm not mistaken that is from a both ebjd parent spawn, not from a bgjd and an ebjd. So are there any adult female ebjd's out there?
