female festae and jag???..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
for the both together nothing under a 72"x18" footprint, or your average 125.

seperate, each would need a tank with a 48"x18" footrpint.

assumeing the jag is female, if male i would reccomend another 72"x18" footrpint for the solo fish, male jaguars from 14-16" are very cramped in 75's

together, atleast 125, probably larger, depends on individual fish, dithres, aquascaping etc., tough fish to get to live together

i said females as they grow smaller abit less agrresive and wont breed, thanks all i might just go for the female festae i can get them wild

Just for the record, with Festae it's often the female who's the aggressive trouble maker. My female has killed numerous fish whereas my male Festae is a pussycat.

(It could be just mine though as each fish has his/her own level of aggression.)

haha my female Jag was the bother in my tank:grinno:

I agree 125 minimum for both. With just two fish though aggression can get pretty bad. Both fish would want that much space to themselves so dithers might not be a bad idea and have a divider ready when they start reaching mature sizes.

yh ok i can get a 115 would a female jag or festae live in ther with a jd,gt,green texas and i would like them alive proberly a stupid question but i have seen jags with gts and jd
