For a hobby that is stereotyped as a typical male thing, I was wondering how many of you out there are women?

Thats a smaller percentage than even I had expected.

I would have guessed 20% ?

not many of us gals on here-i guess i never thought of it as a male dominated hobby-i just love animals, and fish fall in that category lol..

^ hmm, maybe its different here.

I live in the Netherlands and for some reason people find it quite bizarre that I am so into fish. They don't seem to look at them as pets on the same level as say my cats or a dog or something.

Female here and I have to say fishkeeping is not exactly popular amongst females where I hail from.

It's still very much a male dominated hobby
