So I decided to pick up a few Green Terror's and see if I get a pair for my 90g. I have had them a week and they are still pretty small. Two have colored up nicely and I would guess are males even at only 2". The third is a much darker color and slightly smaller - maybe 1.5". "She" has cleaned the algae off of a peice of driftwood in the corner of the tank and claimed it as hers. She won't let the other terrors or any of the sailfin mollies I got as dithers near her spot.

Is this typical of terrors this size? The other two get along fine so maybe its a female thing? They are still too small for breeding aren't they?

In reading other posts on GT's it seems that females will stop growing after starting to breed. Did your 2.5" female grow anymore or did breeding stunt her?

cool, thanks for the reply. I was hoping when I got them that I would have some more time till they got territorial with each other. At least its a bigger tank and planted so they have some room to run and hide from each other. At this point its mostly chasing, its the mollie males that are beating each other up. haha

Breeding doesnt stop their growth it only slows it down..

My 2.5 gt locks lips with my male blue acara all the time but he gets ganged cuz the acaras are a pair lol.. wish she was a little more aggressive/ territorial

Thats good to know about the growing thing. I would hate to have a 1.5" female in with a giant of a male down the road. Then again I was just looking at GuapoteMel's huge Dovii male with his female. It just makes you appreciate the size of the monster male. If only I had a 600g tank laying around and a whole lot more time for water changes. haha
