They are both from the same genus, they both look similar (especially females) , and if both were suitably ready to spawn at the same time, why not.
This is one reason I try never to keep two species of the genus in the same tank.
luckily this isn't a tank meant for breeding, it's pretty much just my retirement tank for female cichlids who are widowed, too old to breed or had aggressive mates
still interesting regardless
