my female jag has cleared out a spot in the corner of my tank where the male cannot get to and now she has started laying eggs there. i have a few big pieces of bogwood in that end of the tank which are stopping the male getting to them.

why do you think she has layed them there???

should i just leave her to her buissiness or move the wood???

Let her be. The male doesn't necessarily have to get right over top of the eggs to fertilize them. See what happens.

hey howard, was just wondering how things with xantic was going<cleared that up>
if i was you i would move the wood, even if its only a little more over to one side enough for him to strut his stuff,,,had similar prob with my angels once,,it never bothered them,,,glad to see there still getting on

ok yeh, forgot to meantion the wood touches surface so maybe slight problems, any ideas why she laid them there instead of on the pebble that they usually lay on?

,,you seen brutis post in pictures lounge?
also got to get rid of my vieja,,boohoo it bashed the oscars real bad

not seen pics but heading there now, yeh i was trying to buy a female from X's offspring of this chap who lives in cambridge but he wanted like £150 for a 6" fish....

you what???stupid boy<him>,,,anyhow i wouldnt bother because wouldnt that be a bad thing?
bit like insest?
you can have brutis for 100 pounds,,,

it would be insest but i have been told and researched that next generation from the offspring has 75% chance of being Xanthic.

i know there are member's who are well into it so they can help here.

any1 have any idea's why she laid in a place where the male cannot get to?
