Is it possible? I have a 3-4 incher in my 75 with an oscar and 2 severums. The aggression levels are perfect though and everyone gets along great. If its a female won't it be less aggro and smaller (than a male jag)? They get along now so is there a chance they will when they grow up? I know any fish can turn at any time and go ape**** but still. Is it alright if I keep up on my water changes to keep these guys in my 75?

they do grow smaller than males up to 13-14". ime you really can't judge aggression levels for the fish depending on sex, both males and females of mine have there aggresive tendencies, they are smaller but not necceserially less aggressive. my main concern would be tank space, jaguars male/and females take up alot of space, a 14" female would more than fill your 75 by itself, though i find it rare to be able to grow a female past 12-13", but they still do. i'd ditch the tankmates if you want a female jag. if the female did become aggresive to those tank mates, they'd have no where to run from her, 4' is not very large for 3 fishes to make there territory's in...

:iagree:
also, female jags will sometimes lay eggs w/o a male present, and if this happens they tend to get really territorial guarding them.

yeah I figured it would be a big fat "NO".

I think oscars and severums aren't very aggressive in the first place and I know the oscar is going to get massive, but not nearly as aggro as the jag. I will just keep it untill it causes a problem and then take it to a LFS near me (they charge 16$ for jags at the 3-4 inch mark).

My female Jag is more aggressive than my male. He's more territorial and she's aggressive just to be aggressive...the b*tch doesn't like anyone.

My female Jag is 11 inches and can only be with Cons and hiding spots. Most female jags don't get over 12 inches.
