Female JD and male salvini?

Has anyone had any luck or know of anyone who has successfully crossbred these two. Been thinking about trying it , just wanted to hear of anyones experience on it. Thanks.

I've only heard of one account on here awhile back when I was a lurker. There was never pics to confirm though.

I know they will pair up and try but nothing will come from their eggs. That would be a beautiful mean fish though.

Have never heard of that particular pairing but i'd personally be scared of a male sal putting a beatdown on female jack, depending on sizes and individual temperments of course. Anyway best of luck in trying

It's definitely possible, and rather plausible, given that Sals and JDs have both hybridized with similar species of fish (and therefore there's a high chance they can hybridize with each other).

Thanks for your replies. If they pair off I will give it a try. Thought it would be a awesome looking fish. My JD is bigger than my salvini right now so I'll wait to see what happens. Thanks again.
