Can anyone here tell me how to tell apart a female guppie and a male guppie? Also a female gold fish and a male one...

I`m giving away my betta and I want to use the 15 gal tank for feeder breeding

If you want tons of feeders, go with a pair of convicts. But female guppies are generally less colorful and are also much larger than males. Males are the ones with the most color and bigger fins. They are also a lot smaller in size. Don't know much about goldfish though. But your best bet would be convicts as stated earlier.

Males have the pointed anal fin and females have a rounded anal fin, same for all live breeder. I'll try and find a picture.

That would really help nova.....And for the convict...Would that be good food for turtles?
With convict the female generally has more copper/orange on her belly and the male has a more pointed dorsal fin. Males alo get larger.

Top pic is platy, bottom is a diagram of guppies

Goldfish aren't sexable untill they come into breeding condition, the females will become heavy with eggs (more noticable in comets than the fancy varieties) and the males will get white bumps on their gill covers and the leading edge of the pectoral fins, they will also start chasing the females around. Induce spawning with a big water change.
