Female red devil? take a look please

i got this red devil last week, could anyone tells me its male or female please? i guess he's male.

this guy was dominant in my main aquarium, he bit everything close to him, now i put him with my shrimp in another tank and they're fine.

It's kind of young to tell but it has nice finnage.

but just by looking at it, it sort of looks like a male.. imo..

Too small to tell and no wonder he was dominant.. I can see mollies and a cory in the background. Unless you want to lose your shrimp you should get rid of him or get him his own tank. Hes going to kill most any fish you keep him with accept for other american cichlids.

the firemouth and red devil would not have lasted long together, red devils get 13", firemouths are lucky to see 5", not to mention the agression levels of each are way off. If you want a buddy for your firemouth aside from another firemouth try a convict cichlid.
