My female sting ray has a mark just past her hump on her back. Tonight I notice that valva was red and swollen is this a sign that she is coming in season or that she has bred with the male I have in there. Please help:WHOA::WHOA:

he has been chasing her quite a bit. I have noticed since posting up that there are marks on her disk and he has been trying to flip her. They are ina 300 gallon tank and are on a 100% natural diet. Do you have any suggestions?

Kinda off topic but could you tell us what kind of diet. I'm curious on the 100% deal. Not to flame but possibly add something to my menu

It also depends on the type of ray will help with how long.

I would be glad to everything I feed is human grade fresh jumbo shrimp, fresh smelt, clams, mussels, fresh squid, and earthworms, they also get red and green seaweed, vegetables includes zucchini and squash. No live feeders are given and they love working for the mussels crashing the shells for a treat they get live crawfish. I believe that feeding natural is better but it is pricey. What do you feed?

The female is a rio tigre hr disk is approximately 10 1/2 inch and the male is a casterix and is he about 13 to 14 inches. I have had them about a year and with this feeding they have grown very fast and have had no problems at all. They both hand feed for me
