I would tend to agree with HybridFinatic, looks more like a uropthalmus than a trimac.
Here is a female trimac, first shot is spawning colors, the other two more average coloration.

That is definitely not a trimac. Whoever sold it to you as a trimac doesn't know anything about fish species. I would ask for a refund or have them send you the correct fish.
Yea, took him two weeks to the send the fish. I ordered a salvini and a female trimac. This is the only fish I received.... and he sent it priority mail not overnight like I requested so she was in a bag for 72hours..... very bad experience
I've heard good things about cichlids of America and they have rio sarabia trimacs in stock so I think I will order a few females through them. Definitely not going to breed my pure male with this one though.... I feel terrible, he was already nesting and coloring up from seeing her through the divider

So more then likely he is a scammer. If he sends the wrong fish, refuses any further contact/refunds and doesn't send one of the fish requested/bought he is more then likely a scammer. Granted I could always be wrong and he could reach out to you and refund everything, but I wouldn't hold out hope on that happening.
