My female ven has become more shy recently, so its harder to get pics. She's about 10-11" long, I think. A bit of a bully in the tank (she's the boss, and EVERYONE knows it), but otherwise gets along fine with everyone.

The pair of anthurus are looking better every day. I LOVE the red eyes on these two. It really shows up strong in the female. The iridescent spotting is also really nice.

Looking awesome sir!!!! Very nice indeed! :D You should start feeding them red worms or night crawlers. Really bulks them up fast and conditions them for breeding. :)

I've got some nightcrawlers for feeding my new ray, so I'll try some for them too. The bluegill and sunfish are pretty bad food hogs though. I have a feeling they'll get most of the worms I try to drop in :). Hopefully the bluegill/sunnies will be moving to another tank or the pond soon.

gorgeous male and female anthurus. sax pikes have always been my least favorite but i must say the anthuruses make me want to get some. hopefully you can get them to breed.

It was pure luck getting them. They came in with a group of belly crawlers to my lfs, and they didn' know the difference, so I got them for like $10 each. :D

I'd REALLY love to find a nice male ven to pair up with my female, although I'd be afraid they wouldn't get along. What are the chances of introducing an adult pair of ven's and having them get along or mate?

They all look good - the female ven could use a new mate, you know, to thin out a bit :D I have a male that lost his "mate", he didn't do her in. I wish I could get him to you, he is about 11-12", that could have been perfect. Sadly, I think introducing adult pikes for breeding purposes is pretty useless, one ALWAYS kills the other, I have tried a few times now :(

Are you calling my fish fat!? :D She is a little chunky, isn't she? She's just a good eater. I'd love to find her a boyfriend, but as fiesty as she is with new tankmates, I think it'd be a death sentence unless the male was a couple inches larger, and even then it might not matter...:(
