All I can say is that was fast. Male and female were barely together a week. Female is ferociously defending the site. Male just kind of floats around. He is still a big wimp and very dull. I am not even sure the eggs are fertilized. I guess time will tell. Cubans look as though they are about to spawn too.

yah man that looks good

Thanks for the compliments guys she is a looker. I really wish the male would color up. She is 6".

I think the male hasn't colored up because you never gave him a chance to settle in... He probably came from a very large tank or pond and was shipped to you, and then thrown in the mix so to speak. I would have let him chill out by himself for a week in his own tank. It's obvious in all the videos he's constantly nervous and showing submissive colors. Congrats on the spawn BTW.

Will post more if I get wrigglers.

@aclockworkorange -the weird thing is he wasn't stressed out until the cubans were introduced. For a little while it was just him the female and my centrarchus pair and he was king of the tank. Then the cubans came and he couldn't hold his own. I guess you are right in he didn't have enough time to settle. I will put him in the 29 with my centrarchus pair and see how he does after a week or so.
