His lady. She was actually larger than him a month ago. As you can tell from his belly, he hogs most of the food.

Beautiful fish. Is there a good way to sex them without venting? I have one that I picked up from a LFS that I wouldn't mind getting a mate for, but I have no idea how to sex them.

Thanks for the comments. I don't think there is a foolproof way of sexing them without venting, but I have noticed that my male has more of a rounded body shape, while the female is a little more torpedo shaped. I have seen this in other pairs also, but I'm not sure if that's the case with all of them. I have also noticed that the female is extremely passive.

nice david the are going to be monsters,look alittle like a younger version of mine. I would say the male is more rounded also . Heres mine male 11 inches female 8 inches.
