My 4" fene which is stunning has gone nuts and killed the following

1 4" convict
1 3" texas
1 2" convict
1 5" silver sharks

He now has a tank to himself.
I have seen such an agressive fish since my RT.

if you want tank mates put him in another tank and put some convicts in the tank until they have paired up and have fry then try putting the little:evil_lol: inside. they should be able to keep him off! convicts can be crazy:screwy: .

sometimes the male will attack from the top then the female from the bottom until the fish backs off!

Mine was tough like that till he hit the large fish tank :) then he tried on the FEMALE texas and got his A*S*S whipped.. But she is gone and hes is just one of the crew now :)

the convicts were breeding in that tank and they used to tag team attack the fenne but he killed the male and then the female im left with two rather dog-eared females now.

I had a fenestratus in a 150 that was about 10" and it was a psyco. Whipped up on red devils, motoguense, flowerhorns, purple rose queen, black belt etc. Good luck with that one.

Ive said it once and I will say it again, dont try to keep a fene with tankmated, they are insane. It will kill anything else. In a fight between a 10" fene and a 20" dovii, my money's on the fene.

I want one so bad but dont have tankspace. IME, they have sent most other cichlids running away with their tail inbetween their legs. My uncle had one in his 180 that kiled all his other fish, so he brought it to our LFS who put it in their 300g South american River tank (which looks awesome). I went back a week later for feeders, and the store owner was going to pay me to take it back, It had killed a red devil, trimac, and a couple jags which were bigger than it. WHen anybody asks me what the most agressive fish to keep alone in a 90 is, I say fene hands down 8O

What does this fish look like Ive never heard of one. Or can someone give me the scientific name please. SO i can look it up
