hey guys...jus a quick question...if a pair of fh from the same parents breed, would the offspring be sterile or non sterile??

thanks

I wouldn't think so. Not ruling out that you may have some, but line breeding is commonly used to produce certain traits.

There is a chance that they are fertile. I would imagine, it would depend on how many generations have been interbred.

Ive bred FH's from the same batch before and they were fine.. I prefer to find 2 from different batches though, just so they aren't so inbred..

FH are known to be one of the hybrids that are fertile.. it again depends on individual fish and the feeding (too much hormones/food containing hormones) can cause fish to become infertile.....
