Pretty good info here, nothing to judge by, just variations and how the different traits affect the desirability of the fish and it pretty much means that the red should be RED and the fish itself should show pearling throughout especially the post fading process.

The bigger the pearls the better. Don't use a Blue Texas and Seek the darkest red mom you can find.
