Hi just wondering if fertiliser would be ok with fish (i was thinking some root tablets ) i only have normal gravel substrate if i knew i was going to go down the planted road before i set up the tank i would have gone for a plant specific substrate but the plant bug hit after the initial set up was done. Will co2 effect the fish? my tank is what i consider medium stocked with fish and about half capacity with plants .

Liquid ferts designed for an aquarium are fine, dry ferts i guess as long as used within the correct range should be safe...

Co2 at too high a level can cause the fish to suffocate, which is why if you are new to using it, getting a drop checker can make a huge difference...
