My male and female festae get along pretty well most of the time, but for about 10 minutes after I feed them he goes into freak out mode and chases anything that moves. Shortly after, everything is fine again. Is this always going to be a problem? or is there anything I can do to make it less of a problem? I try to feed them when they are seperated by the divider, but this is hard since the female can be on whichever side she likes....

My male red isletas has been extremely food aggressive lately but only while he is eating; lets just say he doesn't like to share.

Yeah, that is what I have been attributing this behavior too as well. I have just been noticing it more and more recently. I hope she figures out that she should stay away from him while its dinner time!

i think that's a good thing your fish has a brain to chase off others so he can have all to himself. Smart fish.

Yes I would agree with this... It would seem weird if their survival instincts didn't kick in around feeding time.

feed a little bit on each end of the tank, that way the female can sneak some food
