This is possible right? I think that is happening in one of my tanks as we speak. If it did happen would I be guilty of hybridizing? I am really not a fan of hybrid cichlids and dont want to contribute to the dilution of any species of fish. Thanks for any help.

Cool, thanks for input guys, dont feel so wrong about it now. If it does happen I dont think that Ill exactly be boasting about it anyway.

There is a distochodus in with them and is making things difficult for the cichlids.
