Hello everyone,

Would Festae's mix with Crenicichla Lenticulata's in a 225 Gallon 6ft tank?

I'm wondering how it will mix if the Festae and the Lent's were paired up. Would they work?

Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated. Thanks.

I had a 12" male festae and he got picked on by my pair of lents...they relentlessly picked fights with him. He would be minding his own business and they would just nip and ram him...

Not a good idea I had them in a 265g

Thanks Freebyrd. I have a trio of Festae now with 2 F and 1 M. It looks like one of the females has earned the affection of my male. Male is about 6.5 inches, Females are around 5.75 inches.

Would a Pair of festae's be able to hold a pair of Lents back?

If not, how would my festae trio do in a 150 Gallon for life?

A pair in the 150 should be fine, but id worry about them beating on the second female should the pair decide to breed. The third fish would just be abused by the pair

Lugubris type pikes are the most fiesty and the lenticulata tend to be more on the nasty side. Extremely rewarding fish to keep, personally ide rather keep them than festae any day.

If a pair forms you'll have to move the second female as they will just beat her or harass her to death. Sorry to sound so negative :( I just know how SA cichlids are and tryn to save some headache
