Just added my synspilum to my female festae and it appears they are doing a prespawn dance. Anyone ever have this hybrid before, just curious?

Are you sure your festae isn't showing a dominance sign? I used to think my cichlids were dancing(mating) until I figured out that all their doing is showing they're dominance.
If they really are going to breed I'm sure it happened before, but it is probably very rare.

She has been my herself for quite awhile, has killed everything I have put in there. Believe me if she wanted him dead it would have been quick and pretty. Not saying it still might not end bad, but her colors came out instantly. Not a look I have seen on her before and she is nudging him all over.
