festae confusing me again!!!

i posted these two a while ago on here,everybody else thinks the suspect female is male,the two are still at it but its getting more often and her? fins is turning black when they are tail slapping and shaking at each other,what do you think fighting or courting????

They are very confusing at that size. I went back and forth on my current male for the longest time when he was smaller. Can you take some close up shots of the ones with darker fins?
 
Yeah that is a tough call, although it may look like a male with the spangling you never no until its a little bigger.

Are you sure its not them trying to establish dominence ?
 
its just the one atm with the darker fins,i will try to get better pics but its hard to do as every time i put the camera down the start this courting/fighting,its dorsel fin is half black allways its just when they are tail slapping/shaking that her fins turn really dark

In the first pic, the one with the dark dorsal has a lot of spangling on it's tail and it appears to be on the dorsal fin too... which you know would indicate male.

In the second pic, the dark dorsal one's tail is out of the picture and it looks like there's not much spangling on the dorsal. Need better pics...:confused:

In the first picture, it could be two males and one of them is barring up due to stress or temperament with the others.
